The royalty-free license for using Docotic.Pdf library on any number of servers and in any number of applications.
There are no developer licenses. The license cost is fixed and all developers use the same license.
Companies with 10 or fewer employees can purchase this license with a 30% discount. Send us a letter with basic information about your company to get a discount coupon.
We offer free licenses for certain projects and/or people.
The license is not bound to any hardware or software properties (see FAQ below). When using an Ultimate License there are some restrictions:
- you are not allowed to create products, services, components, or applications that compete with Docotic.Pdf
- your customers, if any, are not allowed to use Docotic.Pdf library directly (only via your software or service)
- you can't resell an Ultimate License to your customers
- your customers should not post support requests directly to us.
The license does not expire and you don't need to or have to renew it. You might want to renew your license if you decide to upgrade to any version of Docotic.Pdf library released more than a year since the day of your purchase.
Any new version of Docotic.Pdf released within 12 months since your purchase can be used by you free of charge. Any upgrades after 12 months from the date of purchase are subject to additional fees (50% of the regular price).
By using an Ultimate license, you agree to the terms and conditions of Docotic.Pdf end-user license agreement.
Ultimate License FAQ
What happens after I purchase a license?
We will send you your license key after PayPro Global has received the full payment. The license key is not tied to any hardware or software characteristics of your solution. Unlike a temporary license key, an Ultimate license key includes a second part that contains your company name.
Are there any restrictions when using an Ultimate License?
Yes, there are a few non‑technical restrictions:
- You may not create products, services, components, or applications that compete with Docotic.Pdf.
- Your customers, if any, may not use the Docotic.Pdf library directly. Your license covers your use of the library; it does not permit your customers to use the library directly.
- Your customers should not contact us directly with support requests.
- You may not resell an Ultimate License to your customers.
Is one Ultimate license enough for multiple projects for different customers?
It depends on who owns the solution. An Ultimate license belongs to one company or one individual and can be used for unlimited projects and servers - but only for that single owner.
You may use one license across multiple projects if you are the owner
- You or your company owns the solutions. You build software that includes Docotic.Pdf and sell licenses for that software to many customers.
- You are a contractor or consultant using Docotic.Pdf for your own work with multiple clients, and you do not transfer anything that depends on Docotic.Pdf to those clients.
You may not reuse the same license across customers if the customers own their solutions
If a customer owns the solution, then that customer must own the license, and it may be used only in that customer's solutions.
Can I resell an Ultimate License to my customers?
No, you are not allowed to resell your Ultimate License. However, resellers may purchase a license on behalf of the end user, provided that the end user becomes the actual license owner.
